Don’t try to fulfill someone else’s dream. Fulfill the plan that God has given you. We see people doing many great things in the Kingdom of God and the world, and we may say I want to do that. We are all unique, and we each were called to do something special with our uniqueness.
Let me give you an illustration of the Vision God showed me. This Vision took place at the time when God would be giving us our rewards. There was a world map with as many colors as there were people. Everyone would come forth, and God would say, What did you do on earth? Each person would say what they did. Some would say I visited the poor, others would say I preached the Gospel, raised godly children, etc. God would go to the map and push a button. If the person had done what God assigned them, the land on the map would light up, and they would also light up with the same matching color. If they had not done their assignment, the land would light up, but they wouldn’t light up. What is the meaning of this Vision?
God said when I created each person, I gave them a specific assignment to fulfill. We may try to do many “good” works, but we must find our particular mission and do that. Remember that a ‘good thing’ can be an enemy of the ‘excellent thing.’ It is better to do what you are called to do than do someone else’s assignment.
